Shouldham Warren is a wooded area on the edge of the fens, located a short distance to the north of the village of Shouldham with a track to the parking and picnic area. The undulating site is traversed by numerous unmarked paths as well as by two marked walks: the Yellow walk (1 kilometer) and the Red walk (a good 3 kilometers), offering good views across the open fenland. Much of the northern part, which slopes upwards towards a central plateau, is covered by conifers, some of which has recently been cleared. A deep ditch cross-able only in three places - separates the northern from the southern parts of the woodland. Remnants of an historic spring on top of the hill are indicated by a Rhododendron Avenue. Good Autumn colors. At the Black Drain good views over Tall Herb Fen to the North across the River Nar . Snettisham beach .
One of the biggest draws of Snettisham Beach is that it’s dog-friendly all year. Unlike many UK beaches that restrict access for pets during certain months, here your pup can join you no matter the season. Whether you’re up for a leisurely summer stroll or a brisk winter walk, Snettisham welcomes dogs 365 days a year. Off-Lead Friendly Areas too ! Dogs thrive when they have the freedom to roam and explore, and Snettisham Beach offers plenty of space for them to do just that. While you should always keep an eye on your dog and maintain control, the beach and its surrounding nature reserves have designated off-lead zones where your dog can enjoy some extra freedom.
